Ayub, Haseeb are on a high
Mohammed Ayub Khan and Haseeb shone with the ball and bat respectively in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s one-day league matches played on Wednesday.
Ayub took 7 for 30 to bowl Vijaypuri Willowmen to thumping win over Sagar CC. Batting first, Willowmen made 225 with the help of good knocks from Deepanshu (67) and Ayaan Ahmed (71 n.o) even as Ram took 4 for
31 for Sagar, who were bowled out for 133 in reply.
Haseeb hit an unbeaten 120 in PN Youngstars total of
268/5 in 45 overs. In reply, Adams XI were bundled out for 98 as Narismha (4/33) and Mir Sami Ali (3/10) shone with the ball.
Meanwhile, the HCA Under 16 one-day league-cum-knockout tournament is rapidly slipping in standards with lop-sided matches, no-shows and washed out games being the order of the day.
