TRS has too many Kattapas, says BJP

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Bharatiya Janata Party state president Dr K Laxman said on Wednesday that there was no need for anyone to destabilise the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government in the state; as the TRS had a sufficient number of “Kattapas” who are capable of doing so.

He was addressing a dharna of retired teachers at Indira Park in the city.

Dr Laxman said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a Brahmastra, and the BJP will definitely use the Brahmastra against the TRS to shake it to its roots in the coming days.

The state BJP president said that his party will break this gaadidala palana (donkey’s rule) and bring the garib palana (rule of the poor) in Telangana.

He alleged that the failure of the ruling party is what is bringing people out on the roads agitating for their rightful demands.

Dr Laxman ridiculed the MLAs and ministers of the ruling party, who he said are busy doing “K.T. Rama Rao Bhajana”, leaving the people in the lurch.

Teachers played a key role in the movement for a separate Telangana, but after coming to power, TRS leaders have forgotten the sacrifices and role played by teachers in the state and has started abusing them, he alleged.

He made it clear that the BJP will continue to fight until the government announces it will implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced 21 per cent interim relief for government employees, and the Telangana Chief Minister should learn from his friend Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, Dr Laxman said.
