Jagga vents ire at Revanth Reddy

- DC CORRESPONDENT

Internal issues among Congress leaders came into the open on Thursday, with Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy aka Jagga Reddy coming down heavily against Malkajgiri MP A. Revanth Reddy and his party supporters.

Addressing the media after the Assembly session, Jagga Reddy lamented the trouble he was facing from those owing allegiance to Revanth Reddy. He said the MP’s supporters have been posting preposterous content on social media claiming that he, along with MLA Sridhar Babu and D. Rajanarasimha, was joining TRS.

Such acts need to be stopped, he said while demanding the TPCC core committee and discipline committee to take action against elements out to defame them.

“Without giving clarifications on such a sensitive issue, Revanth Reddy as raised the issues of GO No. 111, and KTR farmhouse issues and trying to push his personal agenda on the Congress party,” he said.

He asked Revanth whether the MLAs should attend the Assembly sessions or deal with harassment of his supporters.

“Why could he (Revanth) nor rake up the issues when he was in TDP?” wondered Jagga Reddy, adding, “I am also booked in a case related to my passport, but I never made it a party issue. I am fighting it myself.”

“I want to know from Revanth Reddy, why he could not win Kodangal Assembly seat if he enjoyed massive following. You are in jail now and yet aspire TPCC post,” the MLA said.

The MLA said that if harassment by Revanth’s supporters are brought to an end, he would personally meet AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, and bring the mudslinging to their notice.
