Jaison, Bharat rule pool
Jaison Malhotra and Bharat Ramakrishna scored emphatic victories in the Bally’s Entertainment Ultimate 10 Ball India Open pool championship being played at the Hyderabad Next Galleria Mall in Punjagutta, Hyderabad, under the auspices of Telangana Cue Sports Association.
Both Jaison and Bharat blanked their opponents, scoring 7-0 wins over Manikanta Annamraju and Ayush Sinha respectively.
Others to score impressive wins were Tarun Rumalla, who beat Vamshi Krishna Kambhampati 7-1; Arun Dhar who rapped D. Rahul 7-1 and Aamer Javed, who annihilated Abhishek Khanna with the same score.
India’s top 128 players — including Sumit Talwar, Divya Sharma from Chandigarh, Kamal Chawla from Bhopal, Rafat Habib from Chennai, Laxman Rawat from New Delhi and Himanshu Jain from Hyderabad — are competing on the best available equipment procured from around the globe in this tournament. The event is being staged in two formats — a double elimination all the way to the Last 8 followed by the knockout rounds of quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
