66 institutions flout order on Covid, sealed
The Directorate of Enforcement, Vigilance & Disaster Management (EVDM) deployed 18 teams in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits to inspect and ensure that government orders pertaining to closure of educational institutions, coaching centres, gymnasiums, play grounds, bars and pubs, were being followed so as to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
The EVDM has sealed 66 such establishments and has directed malls and other establishments to screen visitors using thermal screening devices and also sanitise the area at regular intervals.

commercial establishments for violating GO No 4 dated March 14 pertaining to closure of educational institutions till
March 31, and parks, theatres, museums, gymnasiums, bars and pubs, cultural events, sports events, conferences, workshops etc, until March 21, the corporation has also prepared a future course of action if the orders are extended.
Mr Kampati said that the municipal corporation has provided its sanitation workers with sanitizers and face masks and employees working in the GHMC offices are being monitored from time to time. Additional measures related to hygiene have been sent to the state government and are awaiting approval.
Meanwhile, the state government has issued orders to ensure strict implementation of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and Epidemic Disease Act,
1897, to prevent and contain the spread of Covid19, since the World Health Organisation has declared it a pandemic.
