COUPLE KILLED IN MISHAP, TWIN KIDS SURVIVE

In a tragic incident, parents were died and their four months-old twin kids survived. The incident took place near Lingampall­y in Sadashivan­agar mandal on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a speeding van hit the motorbike on which the victims were traveling. According to sources, Sailoo, 38, and his wife Savithri, 35, of Pothangal Kalan village in Gandhari mandal visited their relatives in Kamareddy town.

While returning home on motorbike along with their twins, the couple met with road accident. A speeding van coming from Gandhari hit the motorbike resulting the spot death of both wife and husband. In miracle escape, the twin children survived with minor injuries. Sadashivan­agar SI Naresh rushed to the spot and shifted bodies for postmortem at Government area hospital in Kamareddy. The kids also shifted to the hospital. People visited the spot shocked over the incident expressed their grief.

Sadashivan­agar police registered a case and are investigat­ing. Tragically, both wife and husband did not wear helmet during their bike ride. Kamareddy SP N.Swetha said that bike riders should wear the helmet to protect from road accidents. She said that around 30 persons were died on National Highway 44 due to not wearing helmets, triple riding and wrong route driving in last 14 months. KE brothers have been associated with liquor business through a chain of syndicates for over five decades in Kurnool and surroundin­g districts.
