Be alert, KCR tells officials
Villages adjoining Kurnool, Guntur need to be on alert
● KCR SAID that whoever shows symptoms should be tested immediately and all those who came in contact with positive cases should be quarantined.
Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, has instructed officials concerned that in Hyderabad and its surrounding places where there is more spread of Coronavirus, strict regulations should be maintained and implemented.
Mr Rao held a highlevel review meeting here on Wednesday at Pragathi Bhavan on the containment of the Coronavirus and implementation of lockdown.
He asked officials to be alert in villages neighbouring Kurnool and Guntur districts, along with Hyderabad.
Mr Rao said, “The situation in the state is under control except in Hyderabad and its surrounding districts. The spread is less in other districts. All new cases being reported are from Hyderabad, Medchel, Rangareddy and Vikarabad districts.”
He told officials in these areas that they should put more focus on Hyderabad.
Mr Rao said that whoever shows symptoms should be tested immediately and all those who came in contact with positive cases should be quarantined. He demanded strict measures that nobody from Hyderabad goes out no outsiders enter Hyderabad. He asked the senior officials to appoint sharp police, IAS and medical and health officers as special officers. “Round off entire Hyderabad and eradicate the virus,” he boomed.
Mr Rao said, “Corona spread is rampant in neighbouring Kurnool and Guntur districts of AP. Appoint special officers in these border districts and see to it that nobody enters the state nor leaves it.”
Mr Rao pointed out that “The virus did not originate here. It came from outside and spread. Hence, the more effectively we control the movement of people, the virus can be controlled substantially.”
