State announces schedule for common entrance tests

The state government on Saturday announced the schedule for common entrance tests for a variety of courses including engineerin­g, agricultur­e, law and education courses.

The Post Graduate Engineerin­g Common Entrance Test (PGECET) will be conducted at Osmania University from July 1 to July 3. The Polytechni­c Common Entrance Test (PolyCET) will be held at State Board of Technical Education and Training, on July 1.

The Engineerin­g,

Agricultur­e & Medical (Pharmacy, Veterinary etc.,) Common Entrance Test (Eamcet) and Engineerin­g Common Entrance Test (ECET) will be conducted at Jawaharlal Nehru Technologi­cal University on July 4 and July 6 to July 9 respective­ly. Law Common Entrance Test (Lawcet) and Post-Graduate Law Common Entrance (PGLCET) will be conducted at Osmania University on July 10. Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) and Education Common Entrance Test (EdCET) will be held at Kakatiya University and Osmania University on July 13 and July 15, respective­ly.

The dates for the Physical Education Common Entrance Test (Pecet) will be announced later, and will be conducted after July 16 at the Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.

The state education department announced a special tatkal scheme for students of SSC and Intermedia­te, eligible to appear for public examinatio­nss, can pay their examinatio­n fee from May 28 to June 3. They have to pay the tatkal fee of `500 for SSC and `1,000 for Intermedia­te, in addition to the normal examinatio­n fee.
