Prove you don’t own farmhouse, Revanth challenges KTR
State Congress working president A. Revanth Reddy on Monday said IT minister K.T. Rama Rao should prove that he and his family members were not holding any land in Survey No.s 301 to 311 in Janwada village of Ranga Reddy district.
The Congress leader said two acres of land were registered on March 7, 2019, in Survey No. 310 in the name of Rama Rao’s wife. He was addressing a press conference in the backdrop of a National Green Tribunal order to set up a panel to probe violations in the construction of a farmhouse allegedly owned by the minister.
TRS leaders have denied that Rama Rao owns land or a farmhouse in Janwada.
Revanth Reddy pointed out that in his 2018 election affidavit, Rama Rao had stated that he had `2 crore worth properties in the name of Urbana Ventures in Janwada village. He pointed out that the police in an affidavit filed before the court in connection with a case against himself (Revanth Reddy) over the use of a drone camera to film the land, had stated that Rama Rao had land in the village.
Revanth Reddy said that he made these allegations with specific documents which he claimed show Rama Rao owned land in Janwada and challenged the minister to prove that the documents were false.
Referring to the TRS leaders’ allegations that he and his brother-in-law had made illegal constructions in land that he owned at Vattinagulapalli, Revanth Reddy said that he was ready to demolish any structure that the TRS leaders or Rama Rao pointed out. He asked if Rama Rao was ready to demolish the illegal structure in Janwada.
