SSC cancellation brings joy to students, parents
Students who were tense about taking the SSC exam are in a celebratory mood after Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao decided to cancel the exams and promote students.
Dharshan Jain of St Augustine High School said, “I thank KCR for this gift. We studied hard, but at this point it was just confusion.”
District education officer of Hyderabad Venkata Narasamma, told DC that the guidelines for promotion are yet to reach him. “On the basis of internal formative assessment, the students will be promoted. Students who have failed once will be considered on the basis of their previous internal marks,” he said.
John Bunyan, HoD of St Paul’s High School, Gandhinagar, said that for students, the school managements and parents, the Class 10 exam is considered a great challenge. “Schools take this as a great task.”
