Naidu denied permission to meet Atchannaidu at GGH

- MD ILYAS | DC

Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was denied permission to call on his party leader K. Atchannaidu at the Government General Hospital (GGH) at Guntur on Saturday.

When he asked the prison department to give permission in the morning and it was refused, he went to GGH where officials told him to get permission from the court. He inquired about the health condition of Atchannaidu.

Naidu alleged that YSRC government was misusing the police force to create fear among Opposition leaders and warned that they would fight against the anarchic rule.

He said it was unfortunate that police arrested Atchannaidu, who was advised one week rest by the doctors after undergoing piles surgery, and had forced him to travel more than 500 km, which had led to deterioration of his health and profuse bleeding. He said 300 police personnel had invaded the MLA’s house and treated him like a terrorist.

Naidu said that GGH superintendent Dr Sudhakar had informed that Atchannaidu was experiencing pain and there were chances of a second surgery and held the government responsible for any health complications the legislator may develop. Naidu said that Atchannaidu has no connection in the ESI scam and he belonged to a dedicated political family.

He said that the YSRC government arrested J.C. Prabhakar Reddy and his son Asmith Reddy on Saturday and YSRC ministers were hinting at arrest of more former ministers of TDP, which shows the YSRC conspiracy to malign TDP.

Alleging that the ACB had created fake documents to arrest Atchannaidu, the TDP boss claimed that the Vigilance department clearly mentioned that there was no involvement of Atchannaidu in the ESI scam.
