Covid cases cross 1,000 in Telangana again

With 4,234 samples tested on Wednesday, there were 1,018 positive cases in the state.

The highest number is in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits at 881, Medchal at 36, Ranga Reddy at 33 and Mahbubnagar at 10. Sangareddy which recorded more than 40 cases in the last three days, today had only two cases. There are seven deaths recorded taking the total number to 267. In the last 11 days, there have been 69 deaths with a minimum of five per day and maximum of seven per day recorded.

The reason for the spike is that many people have opted to move around and non-essential travel is also being noted. The government says that it is trying to do its best but the movement of people is very high and that is leading to the spread of the disease.
