Decide on online classes: HC to TS

Telangana High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to come out with a clear policy decision on whether or not it will permit private schools to hold online classes for students.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Raghavendr­a Singh Chauhan and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy was hearing a plea filed by Hyderabad School Parents Associatio­n seeking strict action against management­s of all private schools that are holding online classes and collecting term fees from parents.

In this regard, the High Court issued notices to Chief Secretary; Director, School Education; district education officers of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts; and the Telangana Registered School Management Associatio­n. The court directed them to respond by July 8, 2020.
