Following HC orders CM is all set to call Cabinet meeting in 2 days

● ON JUNE 27, 2019, Rao laid the foundation for the constructi­on of the new Secretaria­t and also constructi­on of the new legislatur­e complex at Errum Manzil.

Chief Minister, K. Chandrashe­kar Rao, will likely convene a meeting in the next couple of days to discuss the steps being taken to expedite the constructi­on of the new Secretaria­t complex.

The Telangana High Court on Monday dismissed the public interest litigation­s (PILs) against the cabinet decision to demolish the existing buildings in the old Secretaria­t complex and construct a new complex.

Against this background, sources in the state government disclosed that Rao has instructed senior officers concerned to prepare necessary plans to take up the demolition of the existing buildings and commence the constructi­on of new structures.

On June 27, 2019, Rao laid the foundation for the constructi­on of the new Secretaria­t and also constructi­on of the new legislatur­e complex at Errum Manzil. Both projects were stalled due to the stay orders of the High Court in the PILs moved against both projects.

As the High Court paved the way for the constructi­on of the Secretaria­t, sources pointed out that Rao is keen on taking up the constructi­on of the new secretaria­t and he will likely fix the date for the demolition in a meeting to be held in three to four days.

Meanwhile, roads and buildings authoritie­s have expedited the process of demolition of buildings in the old Secretaria­t complex by clearing unused furniture and other materials, including several condemned vehicles.

Chief secretary, Somesh Kumar, instructed the roads and building authoritie­s to shift over 100 four-wheelers and some two-wheelers and three-wheelers parked in the Secretaria­t complex to the Nizam college grounds.
