CAR RAMS INTO TRAFFIC COP AT PANJAGUTTA

A traffic home guard suffered serious injuries when a car rammed into him while he was on duty at Panjagutta traffic junction. As a result, the home guard, B. Karthik, sustained a severe head injury. He was shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he is critical.

According to police, the home guard was performing duty at Panjagutta cross roads at around 1 pm. While the traffic signal was changing, a speeding car driver coming from SR Nagar side jumped the signal. The car first rammed into an auto rickshaw before hitting the traffic home guard. Panjagutta police arrested the car driver Jaswanth and have booked a case against him for rash and negligent driving.
