3 YOUTH HELD FOR SNATCHING MOBILE PHONE

Malkajgiri police on Wednesday announced the arrest of three teenagers involved in a mobile phone snatching case. According to police, the accused K. Rahul, 19, A. Irudia Raj,

19, and S. Praveen, 20, all residents of Malkajgiri, were apprehende­d on Tuesday.

On June 26, the mobile phone of K. Prashanth,

18, a student of Chengicher­la, was snatched by Rahul while the former was walking along the road in Goutham Nagar. At the time, Rahul’s friends — Raj and Praveen — were keeping a watch on the movement of people in the surroundin­gs. Soon after the mobile was snatched, the trio fled from the spot on a bike (AP 29 AK 6970).

Police said based on technical clues, the accused trio were traced and arrested. The mobile phone has been recovered.
