ROHATGI REFUSES TO APPEAR FOR TIKTOK

- PARMOD KUMAR | DC

The former Attorney General of India, Mukul Rohatgi, has refused to appear for the banned Chinese mobile app TikTok saying that he would not appear against the government.

Rohatgi was Attorney General for the Modi government from June 19, 2014-June 18, 2017.

Rohatgi has said that he would not appear for the banned Chinese app because of the current tension in Galwan.

Rohatgi has said that he does not “feel right” to appear for a Chinese company in view of the current tense situation.

TikTok along with other apps was banned by the government on June 29 citing that they were engaged in “activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order”.
