MISPLACED PRIORITY LETTERS

-

A government that stopped Covid-19 testing citing fund shortage and resumed it only after the High Court intervened, wants to construct a new Secretariat by spending a huge sum of money. It not only reflects the misplaced priorities of TS but amounts to criminal abuse of taxpayers’ money and power given by people. Also, if it is true that the CM does not go to the existing Secretariat citing ‘Vaastu’, then it is unfortunate. Telangana deserves a modernistic CM.

NO TO LOCKDOWN

What is the use of another lockdown after lifting several phases of lockdown? The number of cases rose from March 22 to May. If the government enforces lockdown, people are facing unemployment, transport troubles and lack of hospitals. Leaders must create awareness to maintain social distance, use face mask when stepping out or penalise people.

In case GHMC areas go into lockdown again, I request the Telangana state electricity department to send in their power meter reading employees to capture monthly consumption data after ensuring there is no physical contact when they are taking the reading and delivering the bill. It will save people from inflated power bills.
