Congress all set to honour PV
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy stated that elaborate arrangements were being made for the birth centenary celebrations of former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao from July 24.
He was addressing a press conference after a meeting of the TPCC committee for the celebrations on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by committee chairman Dr J. Geetha Reddy.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the inaugural would be held on July 24 at Indira Bhavan. Former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh and former Union ministers P. Chidambaram and Jairam Ramesh will speak via a Zoom app video conference at the event.

Pranab Mukherjee, AICC president Sonia Gandhi, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar and senior leaders will send their messages. Narasimha Rao’s brother P.V. Manohar Rao, chief patron of the committee, will also speak on the occasion. Narasimha Rao’s son P.V. Prabhakar Rao and daughter Vani Devi will send their messages.
Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with other leaders, released the poster of the ‘Chalo Mallaram’ programme being organised by the TPCC Scheduled Caste department on July 26.
He said the programme was being organised to protest the atrocities against Dalits under the TRS government. He said a Dalit youth, Revuli Raja, was murdered in Mallaram in Malhar mandal of Bhupalpally district.
