KADIAM SRIHARI TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

On Wednesday, TRS MLC and former deputy CM Kadiam Srihari has been tested positive for the Covid-19.

Covid-19 fear is spreading among political leaders and their followers in Warangal. As many as four leaders have tested positive for the virus in four days.

Srihari, who fell sick went to a private hospital where he underwent the Covid19 test. The result was positive. His driver, gunmen and his PA were also found to have contracted the virus. They have all been suggested home quarantine.

Warangal mayor, Gunda Prakash Rao, and his wife are currently undergoing treatment for the virus.

Husnabad MLA, Vodithala Satish, has also tested positive recently. BJP Warangal urban president, Rao Padma, too was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad for treatment of Covid-19 two days back. After Jangaon MLA, Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, recovered from the virus, his son and daughter-in-law also were affected and are currently undergoing treatment. As a result of the current scenario, those who work frequently with the politicians are worried about their safety. Tension prevails among party leaders from village to district level.

Government officials who take part in programmes along with the politicians are also worried. They are all queuing up for Coronavirus tests and avoiding attending their usual programmes as much as possible, remaining quarantined in their homes. As a result, programmes like Haritha haram and others are not seeing much attendance for the past four days.

With a lot of party workers seeking Covid-19 tests, medical officers are complaining that political pressure is mounting upon them to conduct tests on followers. While the medical officials are conducting tests only when someone shows symptoms, the politicians are insisting on conducting tests on their followers.
