TS degree admissions to begin from Aug. 24

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Telangana state council of higher education (TSCHE) issued a notification for opening of the online dost portal for undergraduate degree admissions in the state from August 24.

Students can register on dost by paying a registration fee of `200. After the registration, students will get a dost id and pin to be used to open the application form.

Students must exercise web options by choosing the course and college of their preference by giving priority numbers according to which seats will be allotted.

After this, if students are satisfied with the seat allotted, they can proceed to confirm the seat by online selfreporting.

Students allotted to government/university colleges and not eligible for an e-pass fee reimbursement will be required to pay an amount of `1,000 for online self-reporting, whereas those allotted private colleges and eligible for an e-pass reimbursement need to pay an amount of `500. Students allotted to government colleges and eligible for an e-pass reimbursement, however, will not be required to pay any amount.

All candidates will further be required to visit their respective colleges to submit the required documents and fee from October 8 to October 12 to confirm their seats.

TSCHE has also introduced additional services on the DOST platform to ease the Covid-19 burden on students, like real time digital face recognition to T-App folio to avoid human touch.

An online grievance system has also been introduced to resolve the issues of students on Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
