State to put industrialists on notice for taking land but not starting companies
The state government has decided to issue showcause notices to industrialists who have taken government land but failed to start units as per the agreement reached.
A decision to this effect was taken when industries minister K.T. Rama Rao was reviewing ongoing initiatives of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (TSIIC) in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
He instructed officials to monitor the progress of various industries that have been allotted lands in the state to ensure they start production in a timebound manner. “Those that have not yet started their operations even after being allocated lands must be issued show-cause notices,” he stated.
The minister asked industries department officials to prepare a detailed blue book with complete information on industries in a sector-wise manner. This information will be useful for the government in coming up with policies and programmes to promote industrial development within the state.
Rama Rao also launched the e-SFC, a 360-degree view digital platform of the Telangana State Financial Corporation.
He asked corporation officials to expand their operations and assured that the government will fully support it in its endeavours.
