Presidents of all District Congress Committees (DCCs) have unanimously resolved that a NehruGandhi family member should head the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

They met TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday to submit a representation informing that they have passed unanimous resolution to the extent. They also demanded that the ongoing elections for Youth Congress should be postponed in view of Covid19 situation in Telangana State.

Warangal DCC President Rajender Reddy gave a brief explanation on the resolution passed

by all DCC Presidents. He condemned the leaders who wrote a letter demanding change in leadership and demanded that disciplinary action must be taken against those who leaked the letter to the media.

Uttam Kumar Reddy assured to convey the Congress High Command about the resolution. He praised the DCC

Presidents for the hard work they have been doing to strengthen the party in their respective districts, including the selfless manner they provided succour to guest workers hit by Covid-19 lockdown.

He said that the TRS Government has failed on fronts because of which there was a lot of resentment among people. He said that the Congress party would return to power in the next elections and it would resolve all problems being faced by the people.

He blamed the State Government for the fire mishap at Srisailam Power Station, which claimed nine lives. He reiterated a CBI probe and said that the ongoing CID investigation was aimed at covering up the lapses.

He also alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was acting as a mute spectator to the injustice being done to Telangana on sharing of river waters. He said that Rao would have no moral right to continue as the Chief Minister if Andhra Pradesh goes ahead with the RLIS project.
