AP’S COVID TALLY CROSSES 4 LAKH WITH 10K CASES
Andhra Pradesh is continuing to witness a surge in confirmed cases of Coronavirus since the last few days. The state has registered 10,526 new
Covid-19 cases, raising the overall tally to
4,03,616, apart from 81 deaths, taking the death toll to 3,714 during the last 24 hours. With this, the number of Coronavirus cases reported in the state has crossed the four-lakh mark.
In their Covid-19 bulletin issued here on Friday, state health authorities have reported that out of 61,331 samples tested, 10,526 individuals have tested Coronavirus positive. Out of the total 35,41,321 samples tested so far in the state, 3,03,711 patients have been discharged after recovery, while
96,191 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals of the state.
East Godavari continues to top the list of new infections by registering
1,178 cases, followed by
1,151 in Nellore, 986 in West Godavari, 896 in Visakhapatnam, 874 in Prakasam, 833 in Anantapur, 819 in Chittoor, 801 in Guntur,
764 in Srikakulam, 757 in Kurnool, 552 in Vizianagaram, 501 in Kadapa and 414 in Krishna.
With regard to cumulative infections, East Godavari has again been worst affected with
55,834 cases, followed by
42,457 in Kurnool, 38,596 in Anantapur, 34,206 in Visakhapatnam, 34,122 in West Godavari, 34,035 in Guntur, 33,952 in Chittoor, 27,528 in Nellore, 23,756 in Kadapa, 21,714 in Srikakulam, 20,555 in Prakasam, 18,586 in Vizianagaram, 15,380 in Krishna, 2,461 from other states and 434 from other countries.
