Bandi-led BJP to ‘expose’ TRS

To take elections to GHMC, Warangal, Khammam bodies seriously

- S.A. ISHAQUI I DC

The BJP state executive, which met here on Sunday after Bandi Sanjay Kumar took charge as the president, resolved to take up agitations to expose the failures of the ruling TRS party.

It also decided to take the ensuing elections to the GHMC and Warangal and Khammam municipal corporations and the byelection to the Dubbaka Assembly segment seriously to emerge as the only alternative to the TRS.

Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy said that despite support and suggestions from the Centre to control spread of Coronavirus and implementing welfare and development schemes, the state government was blaming the Centre to achieve political gains. He called upon party cadres to explain to the people the support extended by the Centre to the state and expose the failures of the TRS.

Addressing the officebearers through video conference, Sanjay lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over the rise in Coronavirus cases and also ignoring the demand of teachers and employees to implement the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) recommendations.

He said the TRS had failed to protect the interests of the people while the Congress had been decimated. Only the BJP, which has a strong disciplined cadre, can form government. He appealed to the cadre to work for the party’s victory in the forthcoming elections.

He said the government had given a free hand to Muslims to celebrate Id-ulFitr and Bakrid but was for permitting Ganesh immersions, it was trying to mislead people by stating that allowing the immersion procession would increase cases of Covid -19. The state BJP chief alleged that the TRS government had joined hands with corporate hospitals which are charging Coronavirus patients excessive amounts. The government has taken action only on two private hospitals but others were overcharging patients.

“We have an experienced leadership and a disciplined cadre. Several party workers lost their lives while serving Covid victims. Nine district heads were infected by the dreaded virus, but they served the people. This is the fundamental difference between the TRS and BJP, he said.”

Demanding that the government officially celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17, he called upon party cadre to unfurl the National Flag on the day across villages, towns and cities.

The state executive has resolved to take up various programmes from August 31 to September 30 on various issues including the Covid-19, crop loss to farmers due to floods, Hyderabad Liberation Day, exploitation of private schools and visiting of projects on Krishna River.
