Leaders condole death of Pranab Mukherjee
Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan led the state in condoling the death of former President Pranab Mukherjee. In a message, she said, “A great visionary, a statesman par excellence, a great orator, a writer, a shrewd parliamentarian and above all a great human being – all in one. The passing away of this great son of India is a loss not only to India but humanity at large.”
Condolences poured in from ministers and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leaders. IT minister K.T. Rama Rao recalled that Mukherjee had played a key role in the formation of Telangana state.
Minister T. Harish Rao said “we will remember his immense contribu
tions forever in the formation of Telangana state.”

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MPs D. Arvind and S. Bapu Rao also expressed their condolence along with party leaders D.K. Aruna, K. Laxman, K. Krishna Sagar Rao and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy.
