Rich tributes paid to YSR on 11th death anniversary
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reached the YSR Ghat in Idupulapaya at 8:50 am on Wednesday to pay tributes to his father, late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy on the latter’s 11th Death Anniversary.
The CM was accompanied by his mother Y.S. Vijayalaxmi, wife Y.S. Bharthi and Bharthi’s father Dr E.C. Gangi Reddy. They all paid floral tributes at the ghat and subsequently participated in the prayers.
In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the district administration followed all guidelines, while ensuring stringent security arrangements. All those who came to pay tributes, including ministers, people representatives and officers had to go through temperature screening and hand sanitising. Physical distancing norms were also observed.Deputy Chief Minister S. B. Amjad Basha, BC welfare minister C. Srinivasa Venugopala Krishna, chief whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, whip Koramutla Srinivasulu, TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy, MLCs Vennapusa Gopal Reddy, Zakia Khanum, MLA Ravindranath Reddy, and former Kadapa mayor Suresh Babu participated in the event.
Officials present included collector Chevuri Harikiran, superintendent police Karur Karunapathi Nagendra Kumar Anburajan, joint collectors M. Gowthami, C.M. Saikanth Varma, sub-collectors Immadi Prudhvitej and Ketan Garg, trainee collector Vikas Marmat, and PADA officer on special duty Anilkumar Reddy.
Congress leaders led by Pradesh Congress working president Dr N. Tulasi Reddy also paid their tributes to late Rajasekhar Reddy statue at the district party office.
