TS policies are role model: KTR
IT minister K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said that several policies and initiatives of the state government were a role model to become self-reliant in various sectors.
He was speaking with Google India country head Sanjay Gupta at the third annual summit of the USIndia Strategic Partnership Forum, ‘US-India 2020: Navigating New Challenges’.
Rama Rao said that the Covid-19 crisis had opened up business opportunities and India can attract global investors to the country. Mentioning TS-iPass, Rama Rao said that Telangana state was the only one which allows a self-certification-based system for approvals and clearances.
The minister said, “Today, the innovation ecosystem model which consists of organisations like THub, TSIC, We-Hub, T Works, and RICH which work with academia, industry and government departments to spur innovation is considered as one of the best in the country.”
Maintaining that Telangana state was the first to have policy and strategy documents for artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and drones, he said “We are recognised as undisputed thought leaders in these areas among Indian state governments. ”Rama Rao said the state had defined its vision to be a global leader in emerging technologies including AI and had made rapid strides towards achieving the vision.
He said that Hyderabad has claimed its place on the global innovation map and had captured the imagination of global leadership.
The minister “With a rich data and innovation ecosystem, Telangana state is acting as a testbed for scalable emerging technologies solutions. If we solve for Telangana state, we solve for the world and we welcome the world to come and partner with us. Let’s solve it together.”
