Ensure transparency in 2BHK project: KTR

● RAMA RAO was reviewing the progress of 2BHK houses in Geater Hyderabad along with roads and buildings minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Thursday. Officials informed the ministers that the construction work was nearing completion.

K.T. Rama Rao, municipal administration and urban development ( MA&UD) minister, has directed officials to ensure transparency in identification of beneficiaries for allotment of double bedroom houses.

Rama Rao had announced in the Assembly on Wednesday that the government had taken steps to complete construction of one lakh 2BHK houses in GHMC limits and allot them to beneficiaries by the end of December.

Rama Rao was reviewing the progress of 2BHK houses in Geater Hyderabad along with roads and buildings minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Thursday. Officials informed the ministers that the construction work was nearing completion.

The ministers asked the GHMC commissioner to coordinate with district collectors in the GHMC limits while finalising the list of beneficiaries. They instructed the officials to ensure that the names of those who have already received houses did not appear in the latest list.

Rama Rao asked the officials to plant saplings rightaway to increase greenery at the 2BHK housing sites.

Principal secretaries Arvind Kumar (MA&UD) and Sunil Sharma (housing), and GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar were present in the meeting.
