The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) is conducting the examination in 118 centres, including 47 regional centres. The highest number of students, 4,496, appeared from Krishna district and the lowest number, 1,1

Eamcet-2020 chairperson and JNTUK Vice Chancellor M. Ramalinga Raju said that 228 observers have been appointed. A total of 102 students were appearing for the exam in the Urdu language.

He said that a visually handicapped candidate had engaged a scribe who is an Intermediate student. The scribe was not allowed as the rules stipulate only Class Xlevel scribes. He said that the centre had provided a scribe to the student to write the exam. He said that the examination was held in a peaceful atmosphere without any disturbances and all

Covid-19 protocols are being followed.

Parents A.V. Ramana and K. Sagar who came from Jaggaiahpet to drop and pick up their children said that this year Eamcet put an extra financial burden on the students as they had to arrange for their own transport because of the pandemic. They said that they used private vehicles to reach the examination centre situated at Patamata of Vijayawada due to the absence of buses. Private vehicles were charging

`5,000 for a round trip.
