Bharat Biotech, US varsity sign pact

Hyderabad-based vaccine manufacturer, Bharat Biotech, has entered into a licensing agreement with Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis for a novel chimp-adenovirus, single dose intranasal vaccine for Covid-19.

According to a release from the company on Wednesday, the Phase-I trials for the vaccine will take place in Saint Louis University’s Vaccine & Treatment Evaluation Unit. Once Bharat Biotech obtains the required regulatory approvals, it will pursue further stages of clinical trials in India, the company said.
