POLICE ARREST DRUG PEDDLER, 150 GM OF OPIUM SEIZED FROM ACCUSED
A drug supplier was nabbed with 150 grams of opium by the south zone task force on Wednesday in the city.
On a tip-off, the south zone task force, Hyderabad, along with Nallakunta police apprehended the accused, Dinesh Kumar, and seized 150 grams of opium, a cell phone and a bike from him.
Kumar is a native of Rajasthan, came to Hyderabad six years ago to work in the steel ward in Nagole as a labourer. He himself is an opium addict. During the lockdown, he lost work and financially became weak. Immediately after the lockdown was lifted, Kumar went to his native place and hatched a plan to sell and supply opium in the city.
In first week of September, he procured 1 kg of opium from Rajasthan which he sold in the city to various clients for `1,400 to `1,500 hundred a gram.
