Swiggy staff strike enters 9th day
Hyderabad: While the strike by Swiggy delivery executives has entered the ninth day, the company is maintaining that 80 per cent of its staff is back at work and only 20 percent are protesting. Swiggy further says it has revised the average payment to ` 85 per order for those taking more orders. The company claims it is not forcing anyone to work and delivery executives are logging in on their own. Meanwhile, the Indian Federation of App-Based Transport Workers (IFAT) has stated that its main demand is payout of ` 35 for four kilometers, which remains unfulfilled. The federation alleged that accessibility to the app is not being allowed to those who are protesting which, it says, is unfair.
