Andhra Pradesh has registered an 88.26 per cent rate of recovery among the

Covid-19 infected patients. The state health authoritie­s in their Covid-19 bulletin on Wednesday reported that the total number of

Covid-19 infected patients is

6,46,530, of which 5,70,667 were already discharged from hospitals after recovery indicating the remarkable rate of recovery percentage.

The state saw 7,228 new

Covid-19 cases taking the tally to 6,46,530 and 45 deaths taking the death toll to 5,506.

Out of 72,383 samples tested, 7,228 individual­s have tested Covid-19 positive in the last 24 hours. Out of a total number of 53,02,367 samples tested in the state so far, 5,70,667 patients have recovered and 70,357 patients are active with the virus.

Among the daily new infections of confirmed coronaviru­s, East Godavari continues to top the state with the highest number at 1,112, followed by 962 in West Godavari, 648 in Guntur, 612 in Anantapur, 600 in Kadapa, 536 in Chittoor, 502 in Prakasam, 479 in Nellore,

428 in Krishna, 414 in Visakhapat­nam, 387 in Vizianagar­am, 319 in Srikakulam and 229 in Kurnool.

East Godavari has the highest number of cumulative cases at 90,047, followed by 60,659 in West Godavari,

56,653 in Chittoor, 54,720 in Kurnool, 54,263 in Anantapur, 51,232 in Guntur,

49,163 in Nellore, 47,824 in Visakhapat­nam, 43,710 in Prakasam, 40,939 in Kadapa,

36,893 in Srikakulam, 32,597 in Vizianagar­am, 24,935 in Krishna, 2,461 from other states and 434 from other countries. The rate of recovery of Covid-19 infected patients has been good in East Godavari at 77,732, followed by 53,590 in West Godavari, 51,733 in Kurnool,

51,216 in Anantapur, 49,394 in Chittoor, 46,212 in Nellore, 44,273 in Guntur,

43,233 in Visakhapat­nam,

37,277 in Kadapa, 32,796 in Prakasam, 32,066 in Srikakulam, 26,573 in Vizianagar­am, 21,677 in Krishna, 2,461 from other states and 434 from other countries.

The state health authoritie­s have discharged 8,291

Covid-19 infected patients after complete recovery in the last 24 hours.
