FOUR HELD FOR CRICKET BETTING

The West Zone Task Force apprehended one D. Ramana alias Raju while he was accepting cricket bets near in Yellareddyguda and recovered `20,000 from him. Police said Raju, 42, used to collect money from 10-12 punters and hand it over to one Prasad, an organiser of cricket betting.

Elsewhere, the North Zone Task Force raided a house at Boudhanagar and arrested three persons for participating in cricket betting under the Chikkadpally police limits, and seized `34,000 cash. Pedduri Sai Prasad, Mohd Jiyauddin, Mohd Ismail, created user IDs and passwords for punters, collected money from them and remitted it to ‘Kjak’, an organiser from MP.
