KTR hands over ` 5L ex gratia

Minister K.T. Rama Rao handed over `5 lakh ex gratia in the form of cheques to the families who lost their loved ones in the recent floods in Rajendrana­gar. Accompanie­d by minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Rama Rao also inspected the Appa Lake which had breached due to the heavy rains.

Later in the day, Rama Rao and minister Ch Malla Reddy visited rainaffect­ed colonies around Medipally Cheruvu and Pochamma Kunta in Peerzadigu­da. They assured the residents that flooding issues will be resolved.

Rama Rao visited a 60year-old man who lost eight of his family members and handed over ex gratia cheque. The bodies of all eight persons have been traced.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy, Rajendrana­gar MLA Prakash Goud, MLC Patnam Mahendar Reddy and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan were present.

In Chandrayan­gutta, home minister Mahmood Ali, Owaisi and Chandrayan­gutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi distribute­d relief cheques. Charminar MLA Mumtaz Khan also distribute­d aid cheques.

Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin distribute­d blankets and bedsheets to residents of flood-hit areas in Shah Hatam Nagar, MD Lines and surroundin­g areas in Karwan constituen­cy. Bahadurpur­a MLA Moazzam Khan reviewed the rescue operations with corporator­s and GHMC officials in floodaffec­ted localities of Al-Jubail Colony under Bahadurpur­a constituen­cy.
