Q) I’m a 40-year-old woman. Recently, my husband removed the foreskin of his penis as part of a religious ritual. Afterwards I don’t get the sexual pleasure that I used to get. Now my husband’s penis is rough. No lubrication either. This roughness and lack of lubrication cause me pain. Formerly, a lubricating liquid used to ooze from under the foreskin. And that used to give me immense pleasure. Now what am I to do? To avoid friction, can the foreskin be regrafted? Please give me proper advice A) Most probably you are not lubricating sufficiently during sexual intercourse. Spend more time on foreplay, get aroused well and then try for genital sex. ‘Circumcision’ (underwent by your husband) is not the cause. If necessary you can use a lubricant like ‘Vagisil Lubricant’.

Q) I am a 26-year-old married woman. At the first intercourse I had heavy bleeding. But I had no pain and the bleeding did not last long. So I am afraid now. How this is happening. This is not due to the hymen break. What should I do? Please advice. A) Why do you say that the bleeding is not due to the rupture of hymen? Either a little left over menstrual blood (if you had the intercourse immediately after your periods) or a minor bruise or abrasion might be the cause of the bleeding. As long as you don’t have pain, irritation, itching etc… just ignore it. If you are highly concerned get examined by a Gynaecologist.
