After Covid, man donates plasma 10 times, saves many

A person in the Old City who recovered from Covid

19 is now a saviour of those suffering from the disease by donating plasma. Within six months, Mohammed Naseer of Zeba Bagh, Mehdipatna­m, says he has donated plasma 10 times.

Naser said when he came to know that convalesce­nt plasma from people recovered from Covid-19 with sufficient antibody titres is a potential option for the treatment and prevention of Covid-19, he decided to donate his plasma until a vaccine is available. He is not only donating his plasma, he has formed various groups of plasma donors and helping the people who are suffering from Coronaviru­s. He said usually 250 ml blood is needed for treating a patient.
