TRS leaders will quit if KTR is CM: Bandi

Says KCR making hasty decisions in middle of night

- DC CORRESPONDENT

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay on Sunday that he has information that if TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao is made Chief Minister, some people will leave the TRS and launch a new party.

However, he said, that the change of Chief Minister is an internal matter of the TRS. He was responding to reports that Rama Rao would be made Chief Minister.

If Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao gets his “son, daughter or son-in-law to succeed him, that is totally his and his party’s decision,” Sanjay said. But if Chandrashekar Rao were to make a Dalit legislator the Chief Minister, as he had promised in 2014, the BJP would be happy, Sanjay said.

He was speaking after TRS and Congress leaders and activists from Bhuvanagiri and Aleru constituencies joined the BJP. Sanjay and former minister Mothkupalli Narasimhulu welcomed them into the party.

Reacting to the verbal assault mounted against him by the TRS, Sanjay said that statements like the ones the TRS MLAs were making had resulted in the ruling party’s defeat in Dubbak.

“If they continue in the same way, the same result will repeat in the Legislative Council elections as well as the Warangal and Khammam municipal polls,” Sanjay said.

The state BJP chief said the Chief Minister was taking “hasty deci

sions” in the middle of the night without giving them due thought. He said Chandrashekar Rao was takings U-turn after realising that the

BJP was getting strong in the state.

Sanjay accused the Chief Minister’s Office of collecting commissions “from top to bot

tom.” Even those selected as sub-inspectors were openly saying that they paid commissions to the Chief Minister Office, Sanjay claimed.
