TS GOVT IGNORES MINORITIES, SAY MUSLIM BODIES
The All India Muslim Educational Society (AIMES) alleged that the government has ignored minority educational institutions and organisations that are involved in representing the matters of educational institutions in consultative meetings.
M.S. Farooq, general secretary, AIMES Telangana & AP unit, said, “It is sad that Memo. No. 5640/SE.
Prog.II/A1/2020, dated
12.01.2021 issued by school education department is silent about the collection of fees for the year 2020-2021 and for the previous years. The society could not understand why the government is not giving instructions to managements to collect fees for the previous years and at the same time why are they failing to issue the orders asking the parents to pay the fees.”
He said already the government delayed reopening of schools and because of it the literacy rate would have come down. The option of online classes and physical classes is ridiculous as the state does not have proper internet connectivity in most of the areas and also it is a known fact that poor people don't own smartphones because of which online classes utterly failed, he said. Farooq said the option of online classes for ninth standard and above should be dropped as soon as physical classes commence on February 1.
“We hope the meeting called by the education minister on Tuesday will invite all the representatives of minority institutions and societies, federations,” he said.
