Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that land grabbing has become the hallmark of TRS leaders across the state.

Speaking to mediapersons after attending the Huzurnagar Municipal Council meeting on Monday, Reddy said that TRS leaders were involved in land grabbing in Hyderabad, Huzurnagar and all over the state, including land belonging to the University of Hyderabad.

He pointed out several high-profile cases of land grabbing, involving top TRS leaders, have been hitting the headlines ever since K. Chandrashekar Rao became the Chief Minister.

He said that Keesara MRO Nagaraju was caught red-handed by officials of the AntiCorruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of `1.1 crore.

The TPCC chief also pointed out that a video recording of minister Ch. Malla Reddy had gone viral on social media wherein he admitted that all land grabbers were TRS leaders.

The Congress leader said that the Bowenpally kidnap case, in which former minister of Andhra Pradesh Akhila Priya has been named as the main accused, was more complicated than it was being presented by Hyderabad police. ‘There is more to it than the land dispute,’ he said.

Earlier, addressing the Council meeting, Reddy spoke about the widening of Huzurnagar main road. He said the road should have proper road dividers and central lighting. He pointed out that the Ring Road, 100bed government hospital and Government Degree College, were all sanctioned and built at his initiative when he was an MLA. He said he would speak to the district collector and ensure stringent action against corrupt officials in the municipality.
