State Bank of India chairman Dinesh Khara on Tuesday inaugurated the Retail Asset Credit Processing Centre for Small & Medium Enterprises (RASMEC) at Kompally over video conferencing. He was in Hyderabad to attend the meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on urban development.
While interacting with bank functionaries in the state, Khara appreciated their contribution during the Covid-19 pandemic and for providing uninterrupted service to customers.
After handing over tractors and medical equipment to Shri Kalpavruksha Kamadhenu Trust and Ashray Akruti under the bank’s corporate social responsibility
(CSR) initiative, Khara said the bank’s area of focus in CSR activities include healthcare, education, livelihood, skill development, environment protection, empowerment of women and youth.
He laid emphasis on the bank’s CSR philosophy of making a meaningful
impact on the lives of individuals who are economically, physicallyand socially-challenged.
Om Prakash Mishra, Chief General Manager of SBI, said the bank is a responsible corporate citizen and is participating in all economic, environmental & social activities in the state.
