TRSMA: Issue new rules before Feb. 1
A five-member Private Institutions Joint Action Committee (PIJAC) and representatives of the Telangana Recognised Schools Management Association (TRSMA) told the government that issues and challenges facing the private institutions need to be resolved before re-opening of schools and colleges on February 1.
The primary demands of both parties at a meeting with education minister Sabitha Indira Reddy was the issuance of guidelines pertaining to reopening of educational institutions, release of the academic calendar, and financial support to budget private institutions to meet the expenditure and losses due to non-receipt of fees.

The TRSMA requested the minister to grant permission to allow students from Classes 1 to 8 to visit the school for submission of assignments for corrections and clarify doubts till the schools reopen, to minimise learning loss. They demanded an extension of the academic year till July 31, and to conduct the SSC public exams in May.
