2020, everyone was amazed by the actor’s transformation into a lookalike of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. To a great extent, it was because of the prosthetic make-up by Rasheed. The talented makeup artiste has now been roped in by the makers of Power Peta, the Telugu political drama starring Nithiin.

Director Krishna Chaitanya, known for the breakout film Rowdy Fellow, wanted Nithiin to undergo a makeover so as to look authentic in the film. The actor will be seen with multiple looks and the filmmaker wanted each of them to be distinct and aesthetic.

“We zeroed in on Rasheed because of his ability to bring about a seamless transformation,” shares Chaitanya.

Asked why he had brought in someone from Bollywood, the director says, “I was keen on teaming up with the best, given the difficult nature of the job. When I approached Rasheed, he wanted to listen to the script first.

Since he liked the script, he was game to take up the challenge of Nithiin’s transformation.”

“We recently had look tests done for Nithiin under Rasheed’s supervision. The looks are superb and we are very happy with the output,” the director tells us.

Power Peta is a political thriller set in different periods. The Bheeshma actor will be seen as a 20-year-old, a middle-aged person, and a 60year-old man in this challenging drama. The actor plays a character who transforms from a common man into an idol.
