Governor felicitates awardees on R-Day

At the office of the National Thermal Power Corporation, Chepuru Venkata Anand, regional executive director (South), unfurled the National Flag, and the event was attended by senior executives, employees and members of their families. Anand said NTPC power stations in southern region withstood and overcome several challenges caused due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Anita Anand, president, Dakshin Deepanjali Mahila Samiti, distributed computers to 12 government schools as a part of NTPC's corporate social responsibility initiative on this occasion.
Justice C.V. Ramulu, Lokayukta, led the Republic Day celebrations at the Institution. The Upa Lok Ayukta V. Niranjan Rao, and all officers and staff of the institution, participated in the programme.

Rashtriya Bal Puraskar was also felicitated. The 13-year-old had developed a wearable device that helps those afflicted with Alzheimer's disease.
The Governor feted Lt Gen. T.S.A. Narayanan, Commandant of the Military College of EME, Secunderabad, for being conferred the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal. The Governor appreciated their dedicated services and bringing laurels to the state and country.
