- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Kacheguda police have declared that a complaint lodged against Prof E. Suresh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of English and Foreign Languages University (Eflu) was false, following the withdrawal of the complaint by the student who filed it.

According to A, Srinivas, Kacheguda assistant commissioner of police, the complaint which stated that some students were not allowed to enter the campus to take part in the Republic Day celebrations, and signed by P. Vikas, a student of BA Spanish, has been dropped following Vikas admitting that he signed it under the influence of two other students, K. Srinath and G. Kumar.

“Vikas admitted that Srinath and Kumar typed the complaint and asked him to sign it. He stated that he does not know the contents of the petition. Hence, he is withdrawing the complaint and he did not face any kind of threat or harassment from the ViceChancellor or Registrar or security guards and that he is withdrawing the complaint on his own free will as nothing happened on the Republic Day,” the police officer said.

As the complainant backed down and no reliance could be placed upon the complaint and its contents, and since no such incident as mentioned in the complaint has taken place according to the student, the case is being treated as false, the police officer said.

THE COMPLAINT has been dropped following Vikas admitting that he signed it under the influence of two other students, K. Srinath and G. Kumar.
