Vasishta Karthikeya, M. Abhirath Reddy, N. Sathwik Reddy and B. Chandrashekar hogged the limelight in Hyderabad Cricket Association’s league matches played on Wednesday.
Vasishta slammed an unbeaten triple century to propel International CC to
566 for 5 in 90 overs in a A-2 Division two-day match against Superstars. The opener stroked 40 boundaries and three sixes in his 282-ball knock.
In an A-1 Division three-day game, Abhirath Reddy of Gemini Friends hit
131, his fourth consecutive century this season that contained 15 fours and three sixes. The opener’s previous knocks have been 157 n.o vs Concorde,
222 vs Ensconse, 100 vs Hyderabad Bottling and 59 vs Cambridge.
Chandrashekar of BDL scored 129
(147b, 16x4, 1x6) against Union Bank of India to follow up his unbeaten double century (202) against EMCC in the last match.
Sathwik of Charminar Cricket Club was another supershot. He got 126 that included 15 fours and two sixes against Sportive CC to add to his two consecutive double centuries — 280 against Jai Bhagwathi and 202 vs Mahmood CC.
G. Arjun of Balaaji CC too was on a roll. He got 5 for 65 against Secunderabad Nawabs to take his season tally to 38 wickets in four matches. The leg-spinner has had two sevenwicket hauls in earlier matches.
