Anirudh Balachander scored a century to emerge standout performer in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s A-1 Division one-day knockout tournament matches played on Tuesday.
Anirudh got 104 in 88 balls, hitting 11 boundaries and three sixes but could not save EMCC from going down to Evergreen, which successfully defending a modest total of 247.
There were a clutch of performers in the A-2 Division league matches with Wafi Diamond Kachchhi leading the list with an unbeaten double century. The Young Master opener belted 21 fours in his
270-ball knock to guide his side to 524 for 6 against Canara Bank. Teammate Krishna Patel contributed
112 while Aaron George chipped in 80.
Team Eklavya had two centurions who boosted the team total to 567 for 5 against SN Group. K. Vinmuk Raj made an unbeaten 159 which included 24 fours and two sixes while Sathvik Peddi got 104 with the help of 18 boundaries.
Team Visaka also threw up two performers. First, A. Vigneshwar scored 137 in the side’s total of 190 and then K. Janardhan took 7 for 45 against Telangana, which won by two wickets.
In another match, Jairam Kashyap boosted Deccan Blues with a robust 154 that
contained 17 fours and eight sixes and came in 122 balls.
