KCR FAMILY VISITS JOGULAMBA TEMPLE

- DC CORRESPONDENT MAHABUBNAGAR FEB. 16

Family members of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao participated in the Nijaroopa Darshanam rituals of Jogulamba Ammavaru at Alampur on Tuesday.

CM’s wife Shobha and his daughter and MLC Kavita offered special prayers at the temple, which is famous for having the fifth Jyotirlinga in the country, and the first in Telangana state. Agriculture minister Niranjan Reddy accompanied the dignitaries to the temple.

Speaking to media, MLC Kavita said, “We sought the blessings of Jogulamba for the welfare of the state.” Meanwhile, IT and municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao visited the house of minister V. Sreenivas Goud at Mahabubnagar to condole the death of his father and consoled the bereaved family.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagawat on Tuesday met Bollywood film actor Mithun Chakraborty at his Mumbai residence over breakfast. Mithun Chakraborty was Rajya Sabha member of Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the past. The meeting between Chakraborty and Bhagawat assumes political significance as the state Assembly election in West Bengal is just three months away.

However, the actor said that he had a “spiritual relationship” with the RSS chief.

The BJP is considered a political wing of the RSS. The BJP has brought many leaders from the TMC.

But it is still looking for a face in West Bengal. It is said that the RSS chief ’s meeting may be an attempt in this direction.

Confirming the meeting with Mr Bhagwat, Mr. Chakraborty told a news channel, “Let me inform you that I have been sharing a spiritual relationship with Mohan Bhagwat ji for a long time. He once said that when he will be in Mumbai, he would come to my home. He loves me and my family. As he is in Mumbai for his work, so he checked with me whether this date is fine with me or not.”

The veteran actor also said that the RSS chief has invited him and his family to Nagpur, which is RSS headquarters.
