Bandi demands loan waiver, Central cover for farmers
BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar urged Kisan Morcha leaders to fight against the state government for its neglect of farmers and the agriculture sector.
He was addressing Kisan Morcha officebearers here on Friday.
He lashed out at the
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao-led TRS government for failing on the promised loan waiver of `1 lakh and not keeping his word on supply of free urea to farmers. He urged the Morcha leaders to launch an agitation and seek justice for farmers. He said the state government has not implemented the Fasal Bima Yojana, which he wanted to be done on a priority basis. He warned that the BJP would lay siege to Pragathi Bhavan if the Yojana was not implemented.
Kisan Morcha president Kondapalli Sridhar Reddy and Kisan Morcha in-charge Gujjula Premender Reddy and other leaders participated in the meeting.
Bengaluru, Feb. 19: ISRO has embarked on a mission to take startups in the space sector to a higher orbit with a string of initiatives to help them realise their business potential.
It is keen on formulating an exclusive space startup programme — “Space Entrepreneurship & Enterprise Development (SEED)”, Secretary in the department of space and chairman of the Indian space research organisation (Isro) K. Sivan said.
SEED is conceived as a competitive early stage encouragement programme to startups and MSMEs (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) keen on developing products/services in focus areas of interest to ISRO with the space agency helping them to use its facilities, officials said.
A formal mechanism for the programme was expected to be announced soon, they said.
